1. What This Website Is

This private reference site operates independently of government. It neither stores official criminal files nor retrieves records, performs official checks, or submits paperwork for a visitor.

Its role is to identify the Coweta County Sheriff's Office, criminal court clerks, GCIC, Georgia Sex Offender Registry, and other official custodians, along with optional third-party research tools.

2. Rules for Using This Site

Use of the site is conditioned on avoiding the following conduct:

• Break any federal, state, or local law while using this site
• Use information you find here to stalk, harass, or threaten anyone
• Base hiring, housing, lending, or insurance decisions on content from this site
• Try to break into our systems or gain access you are not supposed to have
• Run bots, scrapers, or automated tools against our pages
• Do anything that slows the site down or blocks other people from using it

3. No Harassment, Stalking, or Discrimination

Information from the site or a linked service must not be used to stalk, harass, intimidate, threaten, or discriminate. Such conduct may also violate criminal law. Georgia Sex Offender Registry information is provided for public safety awareness. It cannot lawfully support vigilantism or harassment, and it must not be used for employment or housing discrimination.

4. We Are Not a Consumer Reporting Agency

Coweta County Criminal History is not a consumer reporting agency under the FCRA. It does not create background checks, credit reports, or other consumer reports. Its advertising partners are not presented as services for applicant screening, rental review, insurance pricing, or credit decisions. Site and linked-tool data cannot be used to:

• Decide whether to hire or fire someone
• Screen potential renters or housing applicants
• Judge creditworthiness or set insurance premiums
• Determine who qualifies for licenses, permits, or government programs
• Do anything else that falls under FCRA rules

A lawful check for a regulated purpose must come from the appropriate official process or an FCRA-compliant consumer reporting agency. GCIC and GAPS provide official Georgia channels only where the governing purpose and authorization requirements allow them.

5. No Legal Advice

The content is not legal advice. General descriptions of Coweta County records cannot determine how a charge, conviction, warrant, record restriction, or sealing rule applies to an individual. Obtain advice from a Georgia-licensed attorney.

6. No Warranties

All content and services are supplied "as is." There is no guarantee that:

• The information here is accurate, complete, or current at any given time
• The site will stay up and running without interruptions
• Our pages are free of errors, bugs, or security holes
• Results from our partner search tools will be thorough or accurate

Criminal records can change when charges are filed, dismissed, restricted, sealed, or corrected. Gaps and delays are unavoidable. No site content is an official statement from a court, sheriff, GCIC, or other government agency.

7. Third-Party Services and Links

Links may lead to sheriff pages, court portals, Georgia agencies, legal organizations, and outside search providers. Those destinations are independently operated. Coweta County Criminal History is not responsible for their content, privacy practices, fees, accuracy, or continued availability. Review the destination's terms before use.

8. Intellectual Property

Text, graphics, logos, and code belong to Coweta County Criminal History or its content partners. Copying, distributing, adapting, or creating derivative material requires prior written permission.

9. Limits on Our Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the site is not liable for damages arising from its use, including reliance on content or a linked service.

10. Indemnification

You agree to defend and hold the site harmless from claims, proceedings, or demands caused by your use or violation of these terms, including related legal fees and costs.

11. Governing Law

Georgia law governs these terms. Any dispute tied to use of the site must be brought in a court located in Georgia. Where government-record access or criminal-history dissemination is relevant, the governing statutes include the Georgia Open Records Act, O.C.G.A. §§50-18-70 through 50-18-77, and O.C.G.A. §35-3-34.

12. Changes to These Terms

These terms may be revised at any time. A revised version takes effect when posted here.

13. Cutting Off Access

Access may be limited or terminated at any time, for any reason, without advance notice.

14. Severability

If one provision is held invalid or unenforceable, all remaining provisions continue in effect. The affected language will be narrowed only as much as required for enforcement.
