Why We Built This Site
Georgia provides several public access routes, yet no single office holds every part of a criminal history. The Coweta County Sheriff's Office maintains its reports and jail records. Superior, State, Magistrate, and municipal courts keep the files within their authority. GCIC maintains the central state repository, while the Georgia Department of Corrections and Georgia Sex Offender Registry answer different custody and registration questions. The site brings those official channels, fees, contacts, and request steps into a clear Coweta County reference.
What You Will Find Here
- Record guides: how criminal court case records are found and read in Coweta County
- Official check instructions: how Georgia name-based and authorized fingerprint checks use GCIC, local agencies, and GAPS
- Agency contacts: routes to the sheriff, criminal clerks, and statewide systems that maintain Coweta County records
- Record relief information: how Georgia record restriction and court sealing follow different official processes
What We Cannot Do
This is a privately run reference site. It has no connection to any Georgia court, sheriff's office, police department, or state agency. Its services have firm limits:
- We cannot run an official background check or pull a criminal record for anyone
- We cannot file record restriction applications, sealing requests, public-records requests, or other paperwork for you
- We cannot issue certified copies of any criminal record, court document, or rap sheet
- We cannot give legal advice or explain how a specific charge or case applies to you
- We cannot promise that each published phone number, fee, address, or office procedure is current
Only the issuing agency, such as the sheriff, court clerk, or GCIC, can provide an official criminal record. The document must come from its custodian.
Search Partners
Third-party providers power search boxes on some pages. Each provider controls its service, pricing, and results. A paid signup reached through one of those tools may produce a referral fee for this site. That support helps make the reference material available without a visitor fee, but it does not give us control over a partner's charges or data.
